If you received an email from a friend or family member, warning you about a dangerous new virus and telling you how you could prevent it, would you forward it to all your own contacts? Most people would as they like to look out for their friends.

Most people, when they get on the Internet, do the same thing that everyone else does on it, and that is surf. People may have a couple of sites that they go to on a regular basis but for the most part they surf around the net.

The Conficker virus differs from other viruses online because it is one of the few malicious worms that have already learned how to protect themselves from deletion.
